Whittlingham- outdoor adventure!

Kestrel Class have been so lucky- FABS (Friends and Associates of Bressingham School) gave us some funds to visit Whittlingham Broad for a day of fun and adventure!

Here we are, building rafts and then sailing them, climbing and learning bushcraft or survival skills...

Happy summer adventure and another very memorable event- well done everybody!

Tag Rugby Tournament at Diss High School, 20th November 2017

Today we were invited to take part in a tag rugby tournament. We had three teams consisting of children from Kestrel and Tawny Owls classes. The children were extremely enthusiastic and, as always, very keen to make sure that everyone played fairly. There was great sportsmanship and the teams worked very hard - particularly the girls who, in the case of Bressingham 3, had to play every one of the 5 matches as there had to be two girls playing in every team.

Bressingham 3 came in second, Bressingham 1 came in fifth and Bressingham first came in 12th. 17 schools played in total from around the cluster.

In addition to the rugby games we had the added intrigue of the case of the missing coat (resolved before we left, thankfully) and many joyful reunions with past pupils of Bressingham Primary. A very happy afternoon spent by all.

Here are some of the photos of the action to give you a flavour of the afternoon - taken by members of Bressingham 3 (thank you!).

Rounders competition at Diss High School

These days are a wonderful opportunity for our children to become more familiar with the High School and meet some of the people they may meet there- staff and children.

Today we took part in a rounders competition and here are our teams- sometimes sensible and sometimes (encouraged to be) silly!

And our winning team (one of 4 winning teams):

They were superb at supporting one another and discussing strategies- well done to all our children- you were wonderful.

Sports Day

Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year so far, everyone enjoyed their games in the morning. Years 5 and 6 did a great job organising their teams and helping the younger children.

We managed to find lots of shady places for the children when they were waiting for their turn, or even when they were doing the activities sometimes.

Everyone in Kestrel Class was a team leader- one of our 100 memorable events...
